NEWS: 31st March 2008 – The results of ‘The Big Picture - Best New Illustrators Award’ were announced by Michael Rosen at the Bologna Book Fair today. 10 winners were chosen from a longlist of 27 illustrators including Mini Grey, Alexis Deacon, Joel Stewart, Emily Gravett, Oliver Jeffers and.....moi! I wasn’t one of the 10 winners, but I’m thrilled to say that my friend Lisa Evans was! Check out her amazing work here. Not lazy - just busy! I’m currently working on a series of illustrations for Leo Burnett, Hong Kong, who are working on a poster campaign to promote the awareness of childhood blindness, to be launched by international charity, 'Orbis'. Their concept is that living with blindness is like living in the mouths of dangerous animals. So I'm producing illustrations of blind children inside the mouth of a snake, a shark and a wolf. Scary stuff, eh?! I’ll be posting the work in the ‘illustration’ section soon...NEWS: 15th December 2005 - I've finished illustrating 'The Upside Down Browns', which is to be published in March 2006. I'm starting work on my second picture book in the new year... NEWS: 2nd October 2005 - I'm currently illustrating a Julia Donaldson text for Oxford University Press, about an eccentric couple called The Upside Down Browns!
